On August 3rd, Arlyn and Matthew said their vows before their closest family and friends at Maple Rock Farm. This gorgeous venue located in Parsonsfield, Maine is a historic homestead that is quintessentially "New England." Maple Rock offers so many different backdrops that it was honestly difficult to choose where to do our portraits. My favorite spots were the hundred year-old maple grove and the apple orchard.
The bride and groom and their wedding party all got ready on-site in separate areas of the charming colonial farmhouse. I had the ability to capture both parties getting ready when normally I would need a second photographer to be able to do this.
Even for August, the day was a hot one, but it didn’t stop anyone from having a great time. The ceremony was sweet and simple and the couple shared vows they had written themselves. There was laughter, tears, and many, many smiles. Arlyn and Matthew’s love for one another was evident to all.
After dinner, I was able to sneak the bride and groom away from their guests to capture some portraits. The timing was perfect with the sun setting over the mountains in the background. Pure magic.
